Draw-2-Win
Our aim for the 2009/2010 Draw is to see it FULLY SUBSCRIBED so it will meet all of our heating and lighting costs. Membership is still just £12 per year which can be paid in cash/or by cheque as a single payment or, if you prefer, by quarterly Standing Order through a bank account. There is no restriction on the amount of numbers that can be purchased by an individual
If you are passing the Village Centre then please call in to secure your number & make your payment, by cheque, cash or standing order.

April 2009
Congratulations to J.Challoner who won the special £50 prize draw in the recent promotion of Draw-2-Win. Thank you to all our new and existing members for the support you have shown to date.
- Easter Egg fundraising - What's in Bunny's Basket - helped us raise £92 towards Village Centre funds...Thank you to all who contributed to this event!
March 2009
COMIC RELIEF Oh what good fun we had! this year, for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day! We raised a grand total of £160.60
This amount was made up of:
- Proceeds from the sale of our Red Nose cakes;
- Kate’s grand efforts on her red themed stall, selling raffle tickets for a bottle of bubbly - the winner was Jill Walton - congratulations;
- An official Comic Relief sweepstake - the winner was Diane from Blackpool - congratulations;
- A donation from Fylde Coast YMCA;
- A donation from Unichem;
- Proceeds from our Teddy with no name - the Teddy now belongs to Pat Rowe, congratulations for guessing the correct name of Charlie;
- And finally, our in house photograph caption competition from our Volunteer Christmas Party.
Thanks to everybody who helped, contributed and took part in our Red Nose Day events.
2008 Fundraising
December 2008
- For all those of you who are drawn to Kate’s Stall on a Wednesday morning, the grand total for 2008 was £2,200.70p - Thank You!
- Our Christmas Catch Fundraising Appeal, for those of who visited the Centre in December, would have seen a 3 foot fish resident by the office door which raised a grand total of £250 for Village Centre Funds.CLICK HERE for the poster!
- Christmas Market (organised by Village Centre this year) raised a total of £122.09 for the North West Air Ambulance, this was from the stall/pitch money, along with a collection by North West Air Ambulance.
October 2008
- In the Pink Coffee Morning & guess the pink sweeties raised a total of £58.30 for Breast Cancer Care

- Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £86.39
June 2008
- The Table Top Sale & Coffee Morning in aid of The Kensington Foundation Canal Boat Project & Village Centre Funds on Wednesday, 18th June 2008, raised £36.00 for the Kensington Foundation Canal Boat Project.
April 2008
- The Table Top Sale & Coffee Morning in aid of British Heart Foundation & Village Centre Funds on Wednesday, 23rd April, 2008 raised £38.28 for the British Heart Foundation.
March 2008
- Our Easter Coffee Morning on 19th March raised £33.60 for the Village Centre Funds
- From the sale of Hot Cross Buns at the Easter Coffee Morning we raised £14.40 towards the Prostate Cancer Awareness Week
February 2008
- The Table Top Sale & Coffee Morning on Wednesday February 20th raised a total of £298.83 for North West Air Ambulance which was presented to the Community Fundraiser Sarah Johnson.

- At the Coffee Morning in aid of Action Aid Coffee Morning on Wednesday 27th February in aid of Action Aid we raised £20.00 - Action Aid helps support work with small-scale farmers in the developing world and take action against the global injustices that keep them poor.
2007 Fundraising
December 2007
- Our Grand Christmas Draw 2007 on 21st December, with many raffle prize donations & a great attendance - especially Father Christmas! The Christmas Draw raised the Centre just over £325.00. Congratulations to everyone who won a prize(s) and many thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes.

The Coffee Morning for Breast Cancer, held in the Centre Tea Garden on Wednesday 17th October & the 'Pink Party' on Friday 19th October jointly raised a grand total of £152.25. Congratulations to Mr Clare for guessing the correct number of 'Pink Sweeties'in the jar and also to PC Ary Lewis for winning the 'Pink Quiz' at the 'Pink Party'.
A big THANK YOU to all who attended, especially those who also helped make these two events a great success.

The Halloween Party held on Wednesday 31st October, in association with Happy Geese Playgroup, saw forty youngsters in fancy dress. They were entertained by a magician, party games and party food thanks to all concerned for helping with this successful event, especially for the playgroup funds and the Village Centre funds.
